Super Bowl, lo stile è italiano

C’è un filo che unisce il palco del Lucas Oil Stadium di Indianapolis al laboratorio orafo di Corso Cavour 152, Messina. Perché quelle 2mila borchie che hanno brillato davanti a circa 250 milioni di occhi sugli abiti-armature di Nicky Minaj e M.I.A. sono state battute e forate a mano da Francesco Cosio, orafo 51enne che sa creare gioielli per quello show à la Cecile DeMille che è stato il concerto di Madonna nell’intervallo del Super Bowl, come per le signore siciliane che amano indossare i suoi mix di coralli e pietre dell’isola.

Ma Cosio è stato solo uno dei maestri del made in Italy a invadere il palco di uno degli eventi mediatici più seguiti al mondo. L’orafo, infatti, è uno dei collaboratori di Fausto Puglisi, lo stilista 36enne, anche lui siciliano, che Madonna ha voluto per vestire le sue due giovani protette, che hanno cantato con lei “Gimme all you luvin'”…

At the ceremony held for the inauguration of the monument dedicated to Russian sailors to be held in Messina June 9, the city council and the county council commissioned the goldsmith Francesco Cosio with the realization of a medal in 925% silver (gold plated) in bas-relief, the same that the municipality had given in 1911 based on an idea of the sculptor Donzelli. In it is depicted a woman who represents the city of Messina who holds in her left hand a branch of oak, symbol of strength, and with her right hand holds the coin of Messina, like wanting to affix on the flag of the Russian navy. At the center we see our stormy sea with the scythe of the port and the prows of Soviet ships appearing to document their landing in the operation of aid to the survivors of the 1908 earthquake.
